The wait for your reality to shift

You’ve been doing your best. You’ve shown up for your healing work, gone deep into self-reflection, journaled your intentions, practiced manifestation rituals and released what no longer serves your highest good. You’re doing everything to align yourself with your dream life. And then, you have a bad day…or weeks. Someone at work pushes your buttons. A friend lets you down. A family member gets under your skin. Suddenly, you’re triggered again. The frustration of not having your dream life right now starts to build. You replay everything in your mind like an old, scratched record, looping the same thoughts and emotions, unable to stop yourself spiralling into heaviness. The path now feels long and repetitive and cyclic. Feels like you’re walking the same road, seeing the same scenery. You can’t understand why your 3D physical reality is not shifting to match all the vibrations you’re putting out. Every time you hear the phrase, “Believe it before you see it,” it gets harder to do, when nothing around you appears to be changing.

I’ve been down that road many times. And yes, I still have times when I find myself back there. But I want you to know that that is, in fact, part of the process.

The process brings clarity to what no longer serves you and allows you to consciously choose what you do want to let go of and what is worth holding onto. So, now, when I feel myself slipping off the wheel, it’s easier for me to recognise it for what it is – a gentle reminder to release control, stop forcing the outcome and get out of my own way so that things can unfold when I’m ready to receive them, for my highest good.

Your outer world is catching up

Your outer world moves at the pace of your inner world. Abraham-Ester Hicks’ idea of the grid offers a picture of how creation and manifestation unfolds. It shows how living in joy and keeping your vibration high allows your reality to rise in alignment.

The idea is to imagine a grid surrounding you. You can refer to it as your own quantum field. Create the thought of what you want to manifest. Imagine it has already happened for you and feel the excitement from it. This fills the grid. The longer you retain the emotions, the stronger the grid fills. Emotions are the key. The longer you can maintain the feelings of how you think you will feel when your dreams come true, the faster you receive them.

A great way is to imagine this grid filling up with light and pulsing out each time the vibration of the emotion touches it. Abraham advises to stay in the authentic emotion at a minimum, 17 seconds.

The grid is broadcasting your signal. The more you feed it, the stronger it gets, resonating at a frequency that’s in alignment to the manifestation and attracting and aligning it to you, like a magnet pulling it to you. You become a match to it.

I’ve realised that by doing this, my mental state shifts from one of constant worry, for example, to a different, more focused emotion. For decades, I lived in a state of continual anxiety about everything, and it had become my 'normal'. To get out of that self-imposed norm, I had to make it a conscious effort to remind myself of the other emotions I’d been forgetting to feed. As Ester Hicks says: “If you deliberately bring yourself into alignment, circumstances go well for you.”

Why time and consistency is needed when changing your blueprint

When you’ve been conditioned and shaped a certain way throughout your lifetime, stepping into a higher state of being doesn’t happen overnight. Ascension into a more elevated, energetic state takes time. Yet, the way we perceive time in this physical plane is very different from how it unfolds on a higher level. We measure minutes, days and months, wondering why so much time seems to pass without reaching where we want to be.

I know this feeling well. I used to be impatient, always in motion, planning and scheduling everything, trying to control life by the ticking of my watch. Slowing down and moving with the natural flow felt completely foreign to me. But I’ve come to understand there are no shortcuts on this path. It begins with a decision and it’s sustained by commitment.

The only way to shift your inner blueprint is to rewrite it through the act of repetition. Keep on reminding yourself to fill your grid with the power of love and light. Feel the authentic emotions of elevated harmony. Stay in it in. Repeat this every time you remember - even better, set your alarm once in the morning, afternoon and evening. Every time it goes off, spend a minute of more in this elevated state. Consistency at this will make it a habit. That's when you start to see the changes you desire.

Meditation is a good example - For years, I had the intention to practice, but I wasn’t consistent. Once I finally made it a daily habit, something changed. It quickly became as natural as my morning coffee. Even on busy days, when I had only five minutes, I showed up. The repetition made it part of me.

Imagine a chain smoker. It starts with one cigarette during a stressful moment. Seems simple enough, but the next time their sympathetic nervous system kick in when they're under stress, they reach for a cigarette. This becomes their go-to. They feel it helps take the ease out of the stress. Soon, it's their habit, smoking a packet or more a day. It's become their coping mechanism. Think about how easy it is for a person to pick up a smoking or a drinking habit as examples. Now, what if we used this same principle on ourselves, replacing the bad habit of smoking with the good habit of being in a high-vibrational state that will bring in our manifestations?

Repetition creates habit. Habit builds belief. And belief brings transformation.

Use your surroundings as motivation

As unique as we all are, each of us finds encouragement in our own way that helps us keep on keeping on. Think about what prompts motivate you to keep on your journey?

An example for me is the motivation and reassurance I personally find in the synchronicities and signs that appear around me, such as the repetition of numbers (also called angel numbers). The specific numbers themselves don’t really matter. Interpretations are often assigned by people. What’s important is the awareness they bring. Our human minds naturally seek patterns and meaning, so I’ve learnt to use that as a personal tool to stay aligned. To me, repeating numbers are a gentle reminder from the universe or my higher self, to pause and shift my state. I would take a brief moment, even just two seconds, to pause and express gratitude for the good in my life, for my awareness on this journey, or simply for the experience of being. Gratitude, like love, resonates at the highest energetic state.

The more you offer it, the more the universe mirrors back to you situations to be grateful for. Repeating numbers are just one example. The universe speaks through many forms, such as song lyrics, celestial events, dreams, through other people, but there are numerous other intuitive and subtle signs all there to inspire and guide us. We only have to be open to noticing them.

It is happening

Remove the weeds. Plant your seeds. Water them. Don’t keep digging them up to check if they’re growing. Trust the process, and that the transformation is taking place. Keep a reminder near your bed, something you’ll see first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It could be a written note or a phone notification. The idea is to start and end your day with a positive message. Examples might include, “I am resonating at the frequency of love and gratitude.” “I am aligned. I am purposeful.” “I am living my dream life.” Choose words that have meaning to you and therefore will keep you in an elevated state.

Consistency will bring about changes that will crystallise it into your physical realm. This is when you will see the changes. Like a glass blower’s breath, steady and patient. With each blow, the molten form take the shape they intend. The final product is the most beautiful, solid and tangible product, and that’s how your physical reality will look when you shape it to the way you want it. Your vision is moulding it. Your persistence is crafting it. Your dedication is solidifying it.

Trusting the process means that you trust in the knowledge that your Higher Self (Universal Intelligence) will bring it into alignment for you at the perfect moment in time for you. All you have to do is get out of your own way. It’s not always easy. It takes patience and constant practice. The key is to stay in the present, find the beauty and joy in the now by shifting your attention to what you can do right now to keep the flame of high vibration alive.

When you find yourself spiralling, there are many ways to get in control of your emotions, thoughts and physical wellbeing. An example is using breathwork as a tool. This can help get you back into an equilibrium state, from which you can centre yourself and focus the scattered energy back into your heart space to increase the high vibrational energy of love and trust that exists there. The emotion of authentic love radiates at the highest frequency. This powerful force acts as a magnet which draws your desired reality into harmony with the state of being you embody. When you live from the heart, the centre of the body’s strongest electromagnetic field, you amplify this elevated energy and allow your dreams to manifest more naturally. By aligning yourself with the essence of love, you attract experiences that mirror that same uplifting state back into your life.

This is the very idea of the Law of Attraction, that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs emit a type of energy that attracts corresponding experiences and circumstances into our lives. Like attracts like. So positive ones bring about positive outcomes, while negative ones can draw challenges.

So keep showing up with compassion for yourself. Shift your energy into the things that light you up with joy and excitement. Stay encouraged.
