Bali
Finally in Bali. What it's really like.
How I timeline shifted into my desired reality. The start of a new journey.

Week 1
14 July - 20 July 2025
Monday
It's 9pm. I'm about to land in Bali. A feeling of returning home washes over me. I close my eyes and ask Bali, the land of the gods permission to set foot on its soil and thank it for all the experiences it's about to provide me and how grateful I am for being able to come here. I've come to Bali with my partner and we intend to stay indefinitely, see what happens, where it takes us and for how long. We've shifted timelines. We're here now. The start of our new adventure and a mixed bag of emotions. For me, mostly trust and . It was my decision and I've just decided to follow my intuition. It's been strong for a while about the move, so we sold all our possessions and packed up and here we are. I have heard many stories about others doing similar moves. I've always admired that strength and bravery. It's no secret it could go either way. Again, many mixed stories and emotions. But the only way to know is to try it out. What aligns for one person may not for another. And even in saying that, sometimes the challenge is in the beginning, but once you get into the flow, things get good. So, with all sorts of thoughts in my mind, I try to also clear my field of fear-based emotions and doubts bring myself back to the present. I remember Sadguru saying that the past and the future do not actually exist in the present - simple and true. What we suffer is the memory of the past and the imaginings of a future. And we add fear-based emotions to that which is not real. His quote: "Once you let your past decide how you experience the present, you destroy your future." Wow, that pretty much explains everything.
We're picked up by transport I'd arranged prior (along with accomodation) on Booking.com. He stopped off at a local place to get sim card for local number. Headed to Guest House in Canggu.
Tuesday was mostly settling in, getting up late and wandering around the area to suss out local eateries and restaurants. Appears restaurant prices are not that unsimilar to Sydney prices. Coffee is about the same, but varies where you get it. Could be anywhere from $2-$5 AUD. Not brave enough to try a local eatery - known as warung, although it appears to be well-frequented by tourists and local alike.
Friday, brave enough to try a warung. Tried a popular one seen on Instagram. Food wasn't great. Pretty bland. It was obvious it was about the aesthetic, because there were only tourists there taking photos. Didn't see any locals.
Saturday lunch, brave enough to try a local warung. The food was displayed well behind glass covers, and you could choose between yellow, red or white rice in rice cookers. Dish description and price was displayed in front of each dish. The food is definitely better priced. A nasi campur costs from $1.5 - $4 AUD. You get rice with as many choice as you like. Most choices range from $0.50 - $1.5 AUD, so the total price depends on how many choices you get. It's very filling.
Friday - Want to ty a meditation technique I've done before but not been consistent with. Came across Michael Beckwith on YouTube talking about choosing a timeline of the life that you want to live, doing the meditation with the feeling sense of living in that state and go to sleep. When you awaken, continue that feeling for as much as you can, as if you're in that timeline. So I'll try this before falling asleep tonight.
Saturday
I woke up feeling great. Still on a high from meditation. Feel positive and vibrational energy strong. Had a coffee. Did a Dave Mann love meditation from YouTube and then we headed to Echo Beach. Our usual morning walk/runs were in Canggu Beach to the beach at Finn's Beach Club and back. But this time we drove to Nelayan Beach and walked the opposite direction to just after La Brisa Bali beach club, the Echo Beach point on Google Maps. It's the very end of that beach stretch, and I'm claiming that as my spot from now on. Its the most beautiful spot to look out in to the ocean and the natural rock formations stand out strong and beautiful. Saw someone praying before boxing session. Saw a sexy photoshoot as well. Lol.

Week 3
Week 2
Partner's birthday. went to see shaman and blessing at temple. write here all stuff driver told us.
Man said, why did you come here? Let me tell you someting. Did you notice that Seminyak beach has a lot of prayers on the beach? He said it's advisable not to go alone especially at night. He said something along the lines of spirits around there that have meant some people have gone missing. He said to be careful and not venture out at night and he also said that whenevr we come onto the beach and areas of nature, we should ask permission to enter. That is what they do. I remembered doing that as I was landing in Bali. Synchronicity?
Won accommodation at week holiday of our choice.
Told about kite death, people getting almost behaded while riding bikes and gettig tangled. She said many are not talked about.
Week 4
Monday
Went to look at more villas for rent. Isn't it so disappointing when the photos don't match reality?
Ate at Pasta Bar - YUM!!!
Tuesday
Went to the beach for a walk/jog this morning. It's been an interesting day. I woke in a weird mood. Not sure how to describe it, but the word 'neutral' comes close. I know it's settlement day of the property that was sold in my divorce. And I'm grateful for the abundance that's come in from it. There are so many things on my mind though. I want to get a villa here as an investment. And I will do that. But right now, time is running out on this current accommodation that was booked for just 2 weeks. We want a short-term stay of 1-month with extension to 3 months, depending on visas. We will still need to sort out visa for long-term stay.
We found it! It's so interesting. I went with the preconception that I wasn't going to like it. It would be dirty and in a bad location like every other place we've visited so far. But this was great, and the owner was freshening it up and cleaning it as tenants had just left the week prior. So once again, the Universe has heard my prayers and delivered. I am ever so grateful for this abundant day. We will end the day by celebrating at Beach Boy Canggu, with options for meat for my partner and a large vegan menu for me.
I may have started the day on a neutral, weird note, but it's definitely ending on a high for me. I'm filled with gratitude and love.
Friday
Did the Chakra yoga at Serenity Canggu. My first time at a yoga class in Bali. Teacher was good.
4 August - 10 August 2025
Week 5
Tuesday
So it appears I'm going fully vegetarian. I've had fish and other seafood now many times and bad diarrhoea from it. It doesn't agree with me anymore. I'll stick to boiled potatoes and healthy food and fruits and veggies. My body appears to be clearing me out for receiving mode spiritually.
